Phospho-PARP1 (T368) Antibody specifically detects PARP1 phosphorylated at the threonine 368 site. This gene encodes a chromatin-associated enzyme, poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase, which modifies various nuclear proteins by poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation. The modification is dependent on DNA and is involved in the regulation of various important cellular processes such as differentiation, proliferation, and tumor transformation and also in the regulation of the molecular events involved in the recovery of cell from DNA damage. In addition, this enzyme may be the site of mutation in Fanconi anemia, and may participate in the pathophysiology of type I diabetes.
Phosphorylation-dependent PARP1 signaling studies may also benefit from our phospho-PARP1 (Ser177) antibody page focused on DNA damage response and chromatin stress pathway regulation.
Titration of the Phospho-PARP1 (T368) Antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
This Phospho-PARP1 (T368) Antibody was produced from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding pT368 of human PARP1.
Aliquot the Phospho-PARP1 (T368) Antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
