Phospho-c-Kit pY362 Antibody / Phospho-CD117 Polyclonal Antibody recognizes KIT when phosphorylated at tyrosine 362. KIT, also known as c-Kit, CD117 and the stem cell factor receptor, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cellular proliferation, survival, differentiation and migration. Stem cell factor binding promotes receptor dimerization and activation, initiating phosphorylation-dependent events that regulate receptor signaling and cellular responses.
KIT consists of an extracellular ligand-binding region, a single transmembrane segment and an intracellular split tyrosine kinase domain. Ligand-induced activation results in phosphorylation of multiple receptor residues and recruitment of intracellular signaling proteins. These interactions connect KIT with pathways including PI3K/AKT and RAS/MAPK, allowing stem cell factor to influence growth, survival and differentiation in responsive cell populations.
Tyrosine 362 is located within the intracellular region of KIT. Site-specific detection of phosphorylation at this residue provides a means of examining a phosphorylated population of the receptor independently of total KIT abundance. A Phospho-CD117 Polyclonal Antibody can therefore complement total-protein detection when investigating changes in receptor phosphorylation state and the regulation of KIT signaling.
KIT signaling has important roles in hematopoietic progenitor cells, mast cells, melanocytes and germ cells. Abnormal KIT activity is also extensively investigated in cancer biology, particularly in gastrointestinal stromal tumors and other malignancies involving altered KIT expression or activating mutations. Phosphorylation-specific detection provides an additional approach for examining receptor regulation in these biological contexts.
NSJ Bioreagents offers this phospho-specific reagent for research into KIT phosphorylation and stem cell factor receptor signaling. The Phospho-c-Kit pY362 Antibody terminology identifies both the receptor and targeted phosphorylation site, while Phospho-CD117 Polyclonal Antibody provides a differentiated search term incorporating the widely used CD117 designation.
A Phospho-c-Kit pY362 Antibody provides a phosphorylation-specific reagent for investigating KIT phosphorylation at Tyr362, while a Phospho-CD117 Polyclonal Antibody supports research into stem cell factor receptor regulation and signaling.
