Key downstream component of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. In the absence of Wnt, forms a complex with AXIN1, AXIN2, APC, CSNK1A1 and GSK3B that promotes phosphorylation on N-terminal Ser and Thr residues and ubiquitination of CTNNB1 via BTRC and its subsequent degradation by the proteasome. Titration of the phospho-beta-Catenin antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids surrounding pS33 and pS37 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the phospho-beta-Catenin antibody.
Aliquot the phospho-beta-Catenin antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
