Peroxiredoxin 6 is also known as PRX, p29 or AOP2. The protein encoded by the PRDX6 gene is a member of the thiol-specific antioxidant protein family. This protein is a bifunctional enzyme with two distinct active sites. It is involved in redox regulation of the cell; it can reduce H(2)O(2) and short chain organic, fatty acid, and phospholipid hydroperoxides. Peroxiredoxin 6 may play a role in the regulation of phospholipid turnover as well as in protection against oxidative injury.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the Peroxiredoxin 6 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Human partial recombinant protein (AA 15-224) was used as the immunogen for this Peroxiredoxin 6 antibody.
After reconstitution, the Peroxiredoxin 6 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
