The Period family of proteins are negative regulators of the circadian clock. The CLOCK-BMAL1 heterodimer is an activator of circadian gene transcription. PER2 (Period circadian protein homolog 2), a member of the Period family of proteins, binds to CLOCK and inhibits its transcriptional activity.
Provided assay concentrations are suggestions only, PER2 antibody titration may be required for optimal results.
A recombinant protein fragment from the C-terminal region of human PER2 was used as the immunogen for this antibody.
Aliquot the PER2 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
