Platelet-derived growth factor subunit B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PDGFB gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor family. PDGF-B can exist either as a homodimer (PDGF-BB) or as a heterodimer with the platelet-derived growth factor alpha polypeptide (PDGF-AB), where the dimers are connected by disulfide bonds. Growth factor plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. PDGF-B plays an important role in wound healing. Signaling is modulated by the formation of heterodimers with PDGF-A.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the PDGF-B antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Human partial recombinant protein (AA 82-190) was used as the immunogen for this PDGF-B antibody.
After reconstitution, the PDGF-B antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
