Oct-2/POU2F2 is a transcription factor that specifically binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3'). Regulates transcription in a number of tissues in addition to activating immunoglobulin gene expression. Modulates transcription transactivation by NR3C1, AR and PGR. Isoform 5 activates the U2 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) promoter.
Titration of the Oct-2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 10-39 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this Oct-2 antibody. This sequence is common to isoforms 1-5.
Aliquot the Oct-2 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
