NME3 antibody targets Nucleoside diphosphate kinase 3, a cytoplasmic and mitochondrial enzyme encoded by the NME3 gene on chromosome 16p13.3. NME3 belongs to the nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDK/NME) family, a group of enzymes that catalyze the transfer of phosphate groups between nucleoside diphosphates and triphosphates, maintaining nucleotide balance within the cell. The protein localizes primarily to mitochondria and cytoplasm, where it contributes to nucleotide homeostasis, mitochondrial dynamics, and apoptosis regulation.
