NKIRAS1 is part of the Ras family and GTPase superfamily of proteins. Unlike other family members which have a glycine and glutamine residue at positions 13 and 65, NKIRAS1 (and 2) has leucines in these positions.
NKIRAS1 is a regulator of NF-kB activity via its inhibition of IkB (NFKBIB) degradation. IkB complexes with NF-kB, preventing nuclear translocation and subsequent signaling. By preventing or reducing IkB degradation, NKIRAS1 blocks NF-kB signaling activity.
Provided assay concentrations are suggestions only, NKIRAS1 antibody titration may be required for optimal results.
A recombinant protein fragment from the central region of NKIRAS1 was used as the immunogen for this antibody.
Aliquot the NKIRAS1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
kB-Ras1, I-kappa-B-interacting Ras-like Protein 1, NFKB inhibitor interacting Ras-like 1, KappaB-ras1
