Description

NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] 1 alpha subcomplex subunit 8 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the NDUFA8 gene. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the complex I 19 kDa subunit family. Mammalian complex I is composed of 45 different subunits. This protein has NADH dehydrogenase activity and oxidoreductase activity. It plays an important role in transfering electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the NDUFA8 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

E. coli-derived recombinant human protein (amino acids M1-K172) was used as the immunogen for the NDUFA8 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the NDUFA8 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
