MIG Antibody Recombinant Protein WB. Western blot analysis of 10 ng recombinant human CXCL9 (MIG) protein using MIG Antibody / CXCL9 Antibody at 0.5 ug/ml. A single specific band is detected at approximately 14 kDa, consistent with the expected molecular weight of recombinant CXCL9. The result demonstrates sensitive and specific recognition of recombinant human MIG by Western blot. This MIG Antibody, also called CXCL9 Antibody, is suitable for studies of inflammatory chemokine biology, interferon gamma signaling, immune cell recruitment, and chemokine-mediated immune responses.

Description

MIG Antibody detects Monokine induced by interferon-gamma (MIG), also known as CXCL9, a T-cell chemoattractant inducible by gamma interferon that is a member of the CXC chemokine family of cytokines. This gene is mapped to 4q21. It is noted that, although the best-described activities of the chemokines are as chemotactic factors, chemokines also have an effect on T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. While most CXC chemokines are chemotactic for neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are unusual and similar in being CXC chemokines that are chemotactic for lymphocytes and inactive in neutrophils.

Learn more about CXCL9 biology, its role in interferon gamma-mediated immune cell recruitment, and our CXCL9 Antibody / Monokine Induced by Gamma Interferon Antibody page for additional validation data and research resources.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the MIG Antibody / CXCL9 Antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

Amino acids 23-125 of human MIG/CXCL9 were used as the immunogen for the MIG / CXCL9 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the MIG / CXCL9 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
