Description

MED21 Antibody recognizes Mediator complex subunit 21 (MED21), a conserved component of the multiprotein Mediator complex that regulates RNA polymerase II-dependent transcription. The Mediator complex acts as a molecular bridge between DNA-bound transcription factors and the basal transcription machinery, allowing regulatory signals from enhancers and promoters to control gene expression. MED21 is part of the Mediator middle module, where it contributes to complex stability, structural organization, and communication between regulatory proteins and RNA polymerase II.
