Description

OLR1 is a low density lipoprotein receptor that belongs to the C-type lectin superfamily. This protein binds, internalizes and degrades oxidized low-density lipoprotein. This protein may be involved in the regulation of Fas-induced apoptosis. This protein may play a role as a scavenger receptor.

Application Notes

The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the LOX-1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 64-92 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the LOX-1 antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the LOX-1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
