Lethal(3)malignant brain tumor-like protein 4 is a putative Polycomb group (PcG) protein. PcG proteins maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of genes, probably via a modification of chromatin, rendering it heritably changed in its expressibility (By similarity).
Titration of the L3MBTL4 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 588-622 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the L3MBTL4 antibody.
