Inhibin Alpha Chain Antibody INHA/9354 Staining in Human Testis by IHC. Immunohistochemistry staining of FFPE human testis using Inhibin Alpha Chain Antibody (clone INHA/9354) shows distinct brown cytoplasmic labeling within seminiferous tubules, while surrounding stromal areas are largely negative. The PBS negative-control inset shows minimal background staining. HIER was performed by boiling tissue sections in pH 9 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA for 20 min followed by cooling before testing. The localized intratubular staining demonstrates detection of inhibin alpha using this INHA Monoclonal Antibody.

Inhibin Alpha Chain Antibody INHA/9354 Purity and Integrity by SDS-PAGE. SDS-PAGE analysis of 2 ug purified, BSA-free Inhibin Alpha Chain Antibody (clone INHA/9354) shows distinct immunoglobulin heavy and light chains at approximately 50 kDa and 25 kDa under reducing conditions. Under non-reducing conditions, the intact antibody migrates as a predominant band at approximately 150 kDa. The expected reducing and non-reducing migration patterns support the integrity and purity of this INHA Monoclonal Antibody preparation.

Description

Inhibin Alpha Chain Antibody INHA/9354 recognizes inhibin subunit alpha (INHA), a secreted glycoprotein that forms the alpha chain of the inhibin hormones. INHA belongs to the transforming growth factor beta superfamily and associates with distinct beta subunits to produce biologically active inhibins. Combination of the alpha chain with inhibin beta A forms inhibin A, while association with inhibin beta B forms inhibin B. These heterodimeric hormones function as important regulators of reproductive endocrine signaling.

Inhibin alpha is produced prominently by granulosa cells of the ovary and Sertoli cells of the testis. Inhibin A and inhibin B participate in negative feedback regulation of follicle-stimulating hormone secretion from the anterior pituitary, contributing to the control of follicular development, spermatogenesis, and reproductive hormone balance. INHA is initially synthesized as a precursor protein that undergoes proteolytic processing before formation and secretion of mature inhibin complexes.

Expression of the inhibin alpha chain is also studied as a marker of cellular differentiation in gonadal, endocrine, and steroidogenic tissues. INHA is associated with sex cord-stromal tumors, including granulosa cell tumors, and is also studied in certain adrenal cortical and other neoplasms showing steroidogenic differentiation. These expression patterns make inhibin alpha relevant to research involving reproductive tissue development, endocrine biology, cellular lineage, and tumor differentiation.

Clone INHA/9354 is a mouse monoclonal antibody generated against a recombinant fragment from within amino acids 233-362 of human INHA. This INHA Monoclonal Antibody provides a defined reagent for investigating inhibin alpha chain expression and complements other approaches to studying reproductive physiology, endocrine regulation, and INHA-associated tumor biology.
