Description

Inhibitor of growth protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ING2 gene. This gene is a member of the inhibitor of growth (ING) family. Members of the ING family associate with and modulate the activity of histone acetyltransferase (HAT) and histone deacetylase (HDAC) complexes and function in DNA repair and apoptosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the ING2 antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

An E.coli-derived human recombinant protein (amino acids Q6-K181) was used as the immunogen for the ING2 antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the ING2 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
