IL1B is produced by activated macrophages, IL-1 stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL-1 proteins are involved in the inflammatory response, being identified as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells. [UniProt]
Titration of the IL-1B antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 148-174 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this IL-1B antibody.
Aliquot the IL-1B antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
