NF-kappa-B essential modulator (NEMO), also known as inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit gamma (IKKg), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IKBKG gene. This gene encodes the regulatory subunit of the inhibitor of kappaB kinase (IKK) complex, which activates NF-kappaB resulting in activation of genes involved in inflammation, immunity, cell survival, and other pathways. Mutations in this gene result in incontinentia pigmenti, hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, and several other types of immunodeficiencies. A pseudogene highly similar to this locus is located in an adjacent region of the X chromosome.
Optimal dilution of the IKKG antibody should be determined by the researcher.
Amino acids 207-246 (QSVEAALRMERQAASEEKRKLAQLQVAYHQLFQEYDNHIK-human) were used as the immunogen for the IKKG antibody.
After reconstitution, the IKKG antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
