IKKE Antibody recognizes inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit epsilon (IKBKE), also known as IKK epsilon or IKK-i, a non-canonical serine/threonine kinase that regulates innate immune signaling and antiviral defense. IKBKE is activated downstream of pattern recognition receptors, including Toll-like receptors, RIG-I-like receptors, and the cGAS-STING pathway, where it phosphorylates transcription factors such as IRF3 and IRF7 to promote production of type I interferons and other inflammatory mediators. Through these activities, IKKE Antibody is widely used to investigate host defense, inflammatory signaling, and immune regulation.
In addition to its immunological functions, IKBKE contributes to cellular proliferation, survival, autophagy, and metabolic regulation through interactions with signaling pathways including NF-kappaB, AKT, and STAT. Overexpression or constitutive activation of IKBKE has been reported in several malignancies, including breast, ovarian, lung, and pancreatic cancers, where it supports tumor growth and resistance to apoptosis. These findings have established IKBKE as an important therapeutic target in both oncology and inflammatory disease research.
Because IKBKE functions closely with TBK1 and other innate immune kinases, its activity is essential for coordinating antiviral responses while maintaining immune homeostasis. Altered IKKE signaling has also been implicated in autoimmune disease and chronic inflammatory disorders, making this kinase an important biomarker for studies of immune dysfunction and cytokine signaling. IKKE Antibody is therefore a valuable tool for investigations of kinase biology, interferon signaling, inflammation, and cancer.
This IKKE Antibody has been validated for Western blot analysis, detecting a specific band at approximately 80 kDa in human and mouse samples. Titration of the IKKE antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 686-716 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this IKKE antibody.
Aliquot the IKKE antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
