HuR Antibody Human Cell WB. Western blot analysis of HuR Antibody using lysates from 1) human HeLa cells, 2) human Jurkat cells, 3) human CCRF-CEM cells, and 4) human Ramos cells. A single, specific band is detected at approximately 32–36 kDa in all four cell lines, consistent with the expected molecular weight of HuR (ELAVL1). These results demonstrate that HuR Antibody, a Human Antigen R Antibody, specifically detects endogenous HuR across multiple human epithelial, T-cell leukemia, and B-cell lymphoma cell lines.
HuR Antibody Human Brain IHC. Immunohistochemical analysis of FFPE human brain tissue using HuR Antibody. Heat-induced epitope retrieval was performed prior to staining with HuR Antibody, followed by an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and DAB chromogen for visualization. Distinct nuclear staining is observed in neurons with lighter cytoplasmic immunoreactivity, consistent with the characteristic subcellular localization of HuR (ELAVL1) as an RNA-binding protein that primarily resides in the nucleus while undergoing regulated nucleocytoplasmic shuttling. These results demonstrate that HuR Antibody, a Human Antigen R Antibody, specifically detects endogenous HuR in FFPE human brain tissue.
HuR Antibody Jurkat Cell FACS. Flow cytometric analysis of Jurkat cells using HuR Antibody. Cells were incubated with HuR Antibody followed by an FITC-conjugated goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody. The upper histogram represents the negative control, while the lower histogram shows HuR-stained Jurkat cells. A clear rightward shift of the HuR-stained population relative to the negative control demonstrates specific detection of endogenous HuR (ELAVL1). These results demonstrate that HuR Antibody, a Human Antigen R Antibody, is suitable for flow cytometric analysis of HuR expression in human Jurkat cells.
HuR Antibody ELAVL1 Overexpression WB. Western blot analysis of HuR Antibody using lysates from 1) non-transfected human 293 cells and 2) human 293 cells transiently transfected with the ELAVL1 gene (2 ug/lane). A strong band is detected at approximately 32-36 kDa in the ELAVL1-transfected cells, while little to no signal is observed in the non-transfected control, consistent with the expected molecular weight of HuR. These results demonstrate that HuR Antibody, a Human Antigen R Antibody, specifically detects recombinant ELAVL1 and confirms its suitability for monitoring HuR overexpression by Western blot.

Description

HuR Antibody recognizes Human Antigen R (HuR), an extensively studied RNA-binding protein encoded by the ELAVL1 gene. HuR is a ubiquitously expressed member of the ELAV family that regulates gene expression after transcription by controlling messenger RNA stability, localization, and translation. Through selective binding to adenylate-uridylate-rich elements within the three prime untranslated regions of target messenger RNAs, HuR stabilizes transcripts involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, inflammation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, and cellular stress responses. Because HuR influences the expression of hundreds of genes, HuR Antibody is widely used to investigate RNA biology, post-transcriptional regulation, and mechanisms of disease progression.

Under normal conditions, HuR resides predominantly within the nucleus but rapidly translocates to the cytoplasm in response to growth factors, oxidative stress, DNA damage, inflammation, and other cellular stimuli. This regulated nucleocytoplasmic shuttling allows HuR to control the stability and translation of messenger RNAs encoding cytokines, oncogenes, transcription factors, cell cycle regulators, and signaling proteins. Through these activities, HuR coordinates cellular adaptation to changing physiological conditions while influencing proliferation, survival, differentiation, and immune responses. Consequently, HuR Antibody has become an important research reagent for studies of messenger RNA metabolism, stress granules, RNA-protein interactions, and intracellular signaling networks.

Abnormal HuR expression or localization has been associated with numerous human diseases, particularly cancer. Increased cytoplasmic accumulation of HuR has been reported in breast, colorectal, ovarian, lung, pancreatic, prostate, and liver cancers, where it promotes stabilization of messenger RNAs that support tumor growth, angiogenesis, invasion, metastasis, and resistance to therapy. HuR has also been implicated in inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disease, neurodegeneration, and viral infection through regulation of immune and stress-response genes. Researchers commonly employ HuR Antibody in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, and RNA-binding studies to characterize protein expression, intracellular localization, and disease-associated changes.

NSJ Bioreagents provides HuR Antibody products that undergo validation for research applications to support reliable detection of this important RNA-binding protein. Whether investigating messenger RNA stability, post-transcriptional gene regulation, cancer biology, inflammation, or cellular stress responses, a high-quality Human Antigen R Antibody enables accurate characterization of HuR expression and localization.
