The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the HuR/ELAVL protein family. This encoded protein contains 3 RNA-binding domains and binds cis-acting AU-rich elements. It destabilizes mRNAs and thereby regulates gene expression.
Titration of the HuR antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
This HuR antibody was produced from a mouse immunized with ELAVL1/HuR recombinant protein.
