HSP70-1A Antibody / Heat Shock 70 kDa Protein 1A Antibody recognizes HSPA1A, a stress-inducible molecular chaperone belonging to the HSP70 protein family. HSPA1A is commonly called HSP70-1A and is rapidly induced when cellular conditions disrupt normal protein folding. Its increased expression provides additional chaperone capacity that helps protect cells against proteotoxic stress and maintain protein homeostasis.
HSPA1A is an approximately 70 kDa protein composed of an N-terminal nucleotide-binding domain and a C-terminal substrate-binding domain. Its chaperone activity is driven by an ATP-dependent cycle that regulates the binding and release of client proteins. Co-chaperones further control this cycle by influencing nucleotide exchange, ATP hydrolysis and substrate interactions. These coordinated activities enable HSP70-1A to recognize exposed regions of unfolded or partially folded proteins, limit inappropriate aggregation and facilitate productive refolding.
Heat Shock 70 kDa Protein 1A is an important component of the cellular response to heat shock, oxidative stress and other conditions that challenge proteome integrity. HSPA1A also interacts functionally with protein degradation systems when damaged proteins cannot be successfully restored. This relationship between molecular chaperoning, protein refolding and degradation allows cells to adjust protein quality-control capacity in response to changing physiological conditions.
HSPA1A has also been studied extensively in cancer biology. Tumor cells can experience hypoxia, nutrient limitation, oxidative stress and elevated protein synthesis, all of which increase demands on protein quality-control machinery. Increased HSPA1A activity may promote cellular adaptation to these conditions and has been investigated in relation to tumor cell survival, apoptosis and responses to therapeutic stress.
NSJ Bioreagents offers this mouse monoclonal HSP70-1A Antibody as clone HSPA1A/7932. The antibody was generated using a recombinant region of human HSPA1A within amino acids 200-400. Because HSPA1A and HSPA1B are highly homologous and the precise epitope recognized by clone HSPA1A/7932 is not disclosed, the immunogen information alone does not establish exclusion of HSPA1B. A Heat Shock 70 kDa Protein 1A Antibody provides a research tool for studying HSPA1A biology, molecular chaperone function, proteostasis and cellular stress responses.
For an additional monoclonal antibody to HSPA1A with Western blot and immunohistochemistry validation, see our HSPA1A Antibody / Heat Shock Protein 70 1A Antibody page.
Optimal dilution of the HSP70-1A Antibody / Heat Shock 70 kDa Protein 1A Antibody should be determined by the researcher.
A recombinant partial protein sequence (within amino acids 200-400) from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the HSP70-1A antibody.
Aliquot the HSP70-1A antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
