HSP60 Antibody HSPD1/8406R Multi-Species Tissue Expression WB. Western blot testing of brain, kidney and pancreas tissue lysates from human, mouse, rat, hamster, guinea pig and rabbit with HSP60 Antibody clone HSPD1/8406R shows a strong, specific band at approximately 60 kDa across all tested samples. The observed band is consistent with the expected molecular weight of HSPD1 and demonstrates broad recognition of HSP60 across multiple mammalian species and tissue types.
HSP60 Antibody HSPD1/8406R in Human Tissues and Cancer Cell Lines WB. Western blot testing of human brain, kidney and pancreas tissue lysates and HeLa cervical cancer, HEK293, K-562 myelogenous leukemia and Jurkat T-cell leukemia cell lysates with HSP60 Antibody clone HSPD1/8406R shows a strong, specific band at approximately 60 kDa across all samples. The observed band is consistent with the expected molecular weight of HSPD1 and demonstrates robust HSP60 detection across the tested human tissues and cell lines.

Description

Recognizes a 60kDa protein, identified as the heat shock protein 60 (hsp60). Its epitope is localized between aa 383-447 of human hsp60. A wide variety of environmental and pathophysiological stressful conditions trigger the synthesis of a family of proteins known as heat shock proteins (hsp s), more appropriately called as stress response proteins (srp s). hsp60 is a potential antigen in a number of autoimmune diseases. In human arthritis and in experimentally induced arthritis in animals, disease development coincides with the development of immune reactivity directed against not only bacterial hsp60, but also against its mammalian homolog. Clone HSPD1/8406R, unlike LK2, recognizes only the mammalian (not bacterial) hsp60 and is useful in distinguishing hsp60 from mammals and bacteria.
