HMMR Antibody Staining of U-2 OS Osteosarcoma Cells IF. Immunofluorescence staining of FFPE human U-2 OS osteosarcoma cells using HMMR Antibody. Heat-induced epitope retrieval was performed by steaming in pH 6 citrate buffer for 20 min. HMMR staining is shown in red with DAPI nuclear counterstaining in blue, revealing predominantly cytoplasmic immunoreactivity with areas of concentrated perinuclear staining.
HMMR Antibody Cytoplasmic Staining of U-2 OS Osteosarcoma Cells IF. Immunofluorescence staining of FFPE human U-2 OS osteosarcoma cells using HMMR Antibody. Heat-induced epitope retrieval was performed by steaming in pH 6 citrate buffer for 20 min. Red HMMR signal is visible throughout the cytoplasm, with DAPI-stained nuclei shown in blue.
HMMR Antibody Detection in U937 Histiocytic Lymphoma Cells FACS. Flow cytometry analysis of fixed and permeabilized human U937 histiocytic lymphoma cells using HMMR Antibody at 1 ug/million cells following blocking with goat serum. The antibody-stained population (blue) shows a clear rightward fluorescence shift relative to the isotype control (green) and cells-alone control (red), demonstrating HMMR detection under the tested conditions.
HMMR Antibody Detection Across Human Cancer and Immune Cell Lines WB. Western blot analysis of human HeLa (lane 1), Jurkat (lane 2), SW620 (lane 3), T-47D (lane 4) and Raji (lane 5) cell lysates using HMMR Antibody. A prominent band is detected at approximately 85-90 kDa across the tested lysates, consistent with the reported migration range of the intracellular HMMR protein.

Description

HMMR Antibody / Hyaluronan-Mediated Motility Receptor Antibody recognizes HMMR, a multifunctional protein involved in cell motility, cytoskeletal organization and cell division. HMMR has historically been characterized through its association with hyaluronan-mediated signaling, but it also performs important intracellular functions associated with microtubules, centrosomes and the mitotic spindle. These distinct activities connect HMMR with mechanisms controlling cell migration, proliferation and maintenance of mitotic integrity.

Intracellular HMMR associates with microtubules and localizes to centrosomes and mitotic spindle structures. It interacts with proteins involved in spindle organization and motor activity, including dynein and TPX2, and contributes to proper spindle pole organization and chromosome segregation. Altered HMMR expression can disrupt spindle architecture and mitotic progression, supporting an important role for the protein in coordinating cytoskeletal dynamics during cell division.

HMMR also participates in signaling mechanisms associated with cell movement and proliferation. Interactions between HMMR, microtubules and MEK-ERK signaling provide a mechanism through which the protein can influence cytoskeletal dynamics during interphase and mitosis. A Hyaluronan-Mediated Motility Receptor Antibody can therefore support research examining HMMR expression in the context of cell-cycle regulation, cytoskeletal organization, motility and signaling.

HMMR is of particular interest in cancer biology because elevated expression has been reported across multiple tumor types and is associated with aggressive cellular behavior and adverse clinical features in several malignancies. Its functions in proliferation, migration, spindle organization and genomic stability provide several potential connections between dysregulated HMMR expression and tumor progression. HMMR has also been investigated in relation to breast cancer susceptibility and BRCA-associated mechanisms.

This rabbit polyclonal HMMR Antibody was generated against a recombinant region spanning amino acids 5-686 of human HMMR and is antigen affinity purified.
