Description

Glucose transporter 2 isoform is an integral plasma membrane glycoprotein of the liver, islet beta cells, intestine, and kidney epithelium. It mediates facilitated bidirectional glucose transport. Because of its low affinity for glucose, it has been suggested as a glucose sensor.

Application Notes

Titration of the GLUT2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.

Immunogen

A portion of amino acids 31-60 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this GLUT2 antibody.

Storage

Aliquot the GLUT2 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
