KAT2A, or GCN5, is a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) that functions primarily as a transcriptional activator. It also functions as a repressor of NF-kappa-B by promoting ubiquitination of the NF-kappa-B subunit RELA in a HAT-independent manner.
Titration of the GCN5 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 807-837 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this GCN5 antibody.
Aliquot the GCN5 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
