GATA2 Antibody / GATA Binding Protein 2 Antibody recognizes GATA2, a zinc finger transcription factor that plays a central role in hematopoiesis, stem and progenitor cell biology, and vascular development. GATA2 belongs to the GATA family of DNA-binding proteins, which recognize GATA sequence motifs within regulatory regions of target genes. The protein contains two characteristic zinc finger domains that contribute to DNA binding and interactions with transcriptional cofactors. Through regulation of lineage- and developmental-specific gene expression, GATA2 helps control cell proliferation, differentiation, survival, and maintenance of progenitor cell populations.

GATA2 is particularly important in the hematopoietic system. It is expressed in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and contributes to the maintenance and function of early blood-forming populations. GATA2 activity must be carefully regulated as cells progress through hematopoietic differentiation, and it interacts with broader transcriptional networks governing lineage commitment. GATA2 is also important in mast cell biology and contributes to the development and function of additional myeloid and lymphoid cell populations. A GATA2 Antibody can support studies of hematopoiesis, stem and progenitor cell regulation, blood cell differentiation, and transcriptional mechanisms controlling immune cell development.

Storage
