Description

CASP8 and FADD-like apoptosis regulator, also called c-FLIP (FLICE-like inhibitory protein), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CFLAR gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a regulator of apoptosis and is structurally similar to caspase-8. However, the encoded protein lacks caspase activity and appears to be itself cleaved into two peptides by caspase-8. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, and partial evidence for several more variants exists.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the FLIP antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

Human FLIP recombinant protein (amino acids M1-D376) was used as the immunogen for the FLIP antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the FLIP antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
