FGFBP1 Antibody by IHC in human liver carcinoma. Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded human liver carcinoma using Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 Antibody reveals brown staining in tumor cells, with blue hematoxylin counterstaining providing nuclear contrast. Heat-induced antigen retrieval was performed in EDTA buffer at pH 8.0. Tissue sections were blocked with 10% goat serum and incubated with primary antibody at 2 ug/mL overnight at 4oC. Peroxidase-linked secondary detection with DAB chromogen was used to visualize FGFBP1-associated immunoreactivity in the tumor section.
FGFBP1 Antibody by WB in human A431 and PC-3 cells. Western blot analysis with Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 Antibody identifies immunoreactive bands near 26 kDa in A431 cells (lane 1) and PC-3 cells (lane 2), consistent with the calculated molecular weight of approximately 26.3 kDa. Reduced whole-cell lysates containing 30 ug protein per lane were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE and transferred to nitrocellulose. Membranes were blocked in 5% non-fat milk and incubated with primary antibody at 0.5 ug/mL overnight at 4oC. An HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and chemiluminescent substrate were used for detection.
FGFBP1 Antibody by FACS in human PC-3 cells. Flow cytometric analysis with Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 Antibody shows a rightward fluorescence shift in stained PC-3 cells (blue trace) relative to the rabbit IgG isotype control (green) and unstained control (red). Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde, blocked with 10% goat serum, and incubated with primary antibody at 1 ug per 1 x 10^6 cells for 30 minutes at 20oC. DyLight 488-conjugated secondary antibody was applied before fluorescence acquisition. The separation of the traces demonstrates antibody-associated signal under these staining conditions.

Description

FGFBP1 Antibody / Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 Antibody detects FGFBP1, a secreted protein that binds members of the fibroblast growth factor family and modulates their availability in the extracellular environment. Fibroblast growth factors are signaling molecules involved in tissue growth, development, repair, and vascular biology. Their biological effects depend not only on receptor expression but also on how growth factors are retained, released, and presented within the extracellular matrix. FGFBP1 participates in this extracellular level of regulation. Rather than acting as a growth factor receptor, it serves as a binding partner capable of influencing the accessibility of selected FGF ligands.

FGFBP1 has been described as a mobilizer of matrix-associated fibroblast growth factors, including FGF1 and FGF2 in studied systems. By changing the local distribution of these ligands, it can affect signaling through FGF receptors and associated pathways. Such activity may contribute to processes involving cell proliferation, tissue remodeling, and angiogenesis. The outcome depends on the availability of the relevant growth factor, the extracellular environment, and the receptor repertoire of nearby cells. FGFBP1 therefore illustrates how extracellular binding proteins can shape signaling without functioning as classical transmembrane receptors.

Expression of FGFBP1 has been investigated in epithelial biology, tissue repair, and pathological conditions involving altered growth factor signaling. Its proposed roles in tumor-associated growth and vascular responses reflect the importance of extracellular FGF regulation, although the magnitude and direction of its effects can differ across biological settings. The Fibroblast growth factor-binding protein 1 Antibody name identifies FGFBP1 specifically and should not be confused with FGF ligands or their receptors. NSJ Bioreagents provides the FGFBP1 Antibody for this extracellular regulator of growth factor availability. An FGFBP1 Antibody is relevant to understanding the molecular functions and regulatory pathways associated with FGFBP1.
