Alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein (AHSG) also known as Fetuin-A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AHSG gene. It belongs to the fetuin class of plasma binding proteins and is more abundant in fetal than adult blood. The gene is mapped to 3q27. The protein is commonly present in the cortical plate of the immature cerebral cortex and bone marrow hemopoietic matrix. It is involved in several functions, such as endocytosis, brain development and the formation of bone tissue.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the Fetuin-A antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
An amino acid sequence from the N-terminus of human Fetuin-A (DYINQNLPWGYKHTLNQ) was used as the immunogen for this Fetuin-A antibody.
After reconstitution, the Fetuin-A antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
