ESS2 Antibody by IHC in Human Ovarian Cancer Tissue. Immunohistochemistry analysis of ESS2 in a paraffin-embedded human ovarian cancer section using ESS2 Antibody. Scattered brown DAB staining is visible in tumor-associated epithelial structures and other cells, with variable signal across the tissue and relatively pale intervening regions. Hematoxylin counterstaining highlights the nuclei. Following heat-mediated retrieval in EDTA buffer at pH 8.0, the section was blocked with goat serum and incubated with 2 ug/ml primary antibody overnight at 4oC. Peroxidase-conjugated secondary antibody and DAB were used for visualization. This image documents immunoreactivity of the Splicing factor ESS-2 homolog Antibody in the examined tissue.
ESS2 Antibody by IF in U2OS Cells. Immunofluorescence analysis of human U2OS cells labeled with ESS2 Antibody. Green fluorescence is concentrated in the nuclei, with uneven intranuclear distribution and brighter punctate regions in some cells. Red fluorescence delineates the cell bodies and provides morphological context for the green signal. The image supports predominantly nuclear staining under the reported conditions, consistent with the nuclear functions associated with ESS2, but does not establish colocalization with any specific nuclear substructure. The Splicing factor ESS-2 homolog Antibody was used to detect the green immunofluorescent signal.
ESS2 Antibody by WB in Human Cell Lysates. Western blot analysis of ESS2 in human 293T, LNCaP and K562 whole-cell lysates using ESS2 Antibody. Lanes 1-3 correspond to 293T, LNCaP and K562 cells, respectively. The primary immunoreactive band migrates near 58-60 kDa in all three lanes. Additional closely spaced immunoreactivity is visible below the principal band in LNCaP and K562 samples, but the identity of those bands is not established. The blot includes molecular weight markers for reference and supports detection of an approximately 60 kDa protein in these human cell lysates. The Splicing factor ESS-2 homolog Antibody is the secondary search designation for this reagent.
ESS2 Antibody by IP in K562 Cell Lysate. Immunoprecipitation analysis of ESS2 in human K562 cell lysate using ESS2 Antibody. The left lane shows the input lysate, the middle lane shows a control IgG immunoprecipitation, and the right lane shows immunoprecipitation with the specific antibody. An immunoreactive band near 60 kDa is present in the input and specific-antibody IP lanes, while the corresponding control IgG lane lacks a comparable band. This pattern supports enrichment of the detected protein by the ESS2 immunoprecipitation reagent under the conditions tested. The Splicing factor ESS-2 homolog Antibody provides the target designation for this experiment.

Description

ESS2 Antibody / Splicing factor ESS-2 homolog Antibody targets ESS2, a protein associated with the nuclear machinery that processes precursor messenger RNA. Also described as a splicing factor ESS-2 homolog, ESS2 belongs to a group of proteins investigated for their contributions to RNA maturation. Pre-mRNA splicing removes introns and joins exons, enabling a single gene to produce correctly assembled transcripts and, in many cases, multiple alternative isoforms.

Splicing is carried out by the spliceosome, a dynamic assembly of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins and numerous accessory factors. Its components recognize splice sites, rearrange RNA-protein interactions, and coordinate the chemical steps that remove introns. Accessory proteins can influence splice-site choice or the efficiency of particular processing events without necessarily acting as core catalytic components. ESS2 has been linked to this regulatory environment, although its complete set of RNA targets and molecular partners remains to be defined.

Accurate RNA processing is essential because changes in exon inclusion or intron retention can alter protein structure, introduce premature termination codons, or influence transcript stability. Splicing regulation also responds to cellular differentiation and stress, allowing transcript output to change without altering the underlying DNA sequence. Determining whether ESS2 acts broadly or preferentially affects a subset of transcripts is therefore important for interpreting its cellular role. Protein interaction mapping and transcript-level analysis can help distinguish direct splicing functions from secondary changes in gene expression.

NSJ Bioreagents offers this ESS2 Antibody to support research into ESS2 within the network of proteins that coordinate nuclear RNA processing. Defining its interactions with spliceosomal factors and the transcripts most sensitive to its activity may clarify how specialized accessory proteins contribute to reliable mRNA maturation.
