The protein encoded by this gene is a neural-specific RNA-binding protein that is known to bind to several 3' UTRs, including its own and also that of FOS and ID. The encoded protein may recognize a GAAA motif in the RNA. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting points. Titration of the ELAVL2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 156-184 from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the ELAVL2 antibody.
Aliquot the ELAVL2 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
