EIF3I Antibody / Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit I Antibody detects EIF3I, a component of the multiprotein EIF3 complex. EIF3 is a central organizer of translation initiation that helps coordinate recruitment of the small ribosomal subunit, messenger RNA, and other initiation factors. Its subunits form an interconnected assembly with distinct structural and regulatory contributions. EIF3I is part of this larger complex and should not be considered a stand-alone factor capable of initiating translation independently.
Formation of a productive translation initiation complex requires accurate start-codon selection and the orderly recruitment and release of initiation proteins. EIF3 helps prevent inappropriate joining of ribosomal subunits before initiation is complete and supports interactions between the 40S subunit and messenger RNA-associated factors. EIF3I contributes to the integrity and function of this machinery. Because EIF3 participates in multiple stages of initiation, changes in one subunit may influence complex assembly or the translation of selected transcripts rather than uniformly altering every protein made by the cell. The Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit I Antibody designation refers to this same molecular target.
EIF3I has been examined in relation to cellular proliferation and signaling-associated changes in translation. Altered expression has been described in several disease contexts, but such associations do not establish that EIF3I alone determines the outcome. The protein is also known historically as TRIP1, a name that can appear in older literature. NSJ Bioreagents includes EIF3I among its targets associated with protein synthesis and translational regulation. An EIF3I Antibody provides a way to investigate the biological role of EIF3I and the molecular processes associated with this target.
