CD34 is a monomeric cell surface antigen with a glycosylated molecular mass of approximately 110 KD. It is expressed in humans in hematopoietic stem cells, vascular endothelium, and blasts from 30% of patients with acute myeloid and lymphocytic leukemia. The human gene spans 26 kb and has 8 exons, a structure quite similar to that of the murine gene. By Southern blot analysis of DNA from a panel of human x mouse somatic cell hybrids using a CD34 cDNA probe demonstrate that the gene is located on human chromosome 1. It plays an important role in the formation of progenitor cells during both embryonic and adult hematopoiesis.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the CD34 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
Human partial recombinant protein (AA 151-385) was used as the immunogen for this CD34 antibody.
After reconstitution, the CD34 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
