CD151 Antibody 11G5a Human Colon IHC. Immunohistochemical staining of FFPE human colon tissue using CD151 Antibody 11G5a following heat-induced epitope retrieval in pH9 Tris-EDTA buffer. The tissue was incubated with clone 11G5a and detected using an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody with DAB chromogen. Distinct membranous staining is observed in the colonic epithelial cells, consistent with the expected localization of CD151 as a cell surface tetraspanin involved in cell adhesion and integrin signaling. These findings demonstrate that CD151 Antibody clone 11G5a is suitable for immunohistochemical detection of endogenous CD151 in FFPE human colon tissue.

Description

CD151 Antibody 11G5a recognizes CD151, a widely expressed member of the tetraspanin family that regulates cell adhesion, migration, membrane organization, and integrin-mediated signaling. CD151, also known as TSPAN24, associates closely with laminin-binding integrins including alpha3beta1, alpha6beta1, and alpha6beta4 to stabilize cell-extracellular matrix interactions and coordinate signaling at the plasma membrane. Because of its involvement in epithelial biology, vascular function, platelet activity, and tumor progression, CD151 has become an important target for studies of adhesion-dependent signaling and metastatic disease. Clone 11G5a Antibody is a well-established mouse monoclonal antibody that has been cited extensively in the scientific literature, making it a trusted reagent for investigating CD151 expression across a broad range of biological systems. NSJ Bioreagents provides carefully characterized CD151 Antibody 11G5a reagents to support reproducible cell adhesion and membrane biology research.

CD151 functions primarily as a membrane organizer that assembles tetraspanin-enriched microdomains and strengthens interactions between integrins and the extracellular matrix. Through these complexes, CD151 regulates cell spreading, migration, polarity, proliferation, and intracellular signaling while contributing to basement membrane integrity and normal tissue architecture. The protein also participates in angiogenesis, wound healing, immune cell trafficking, and platelet activation, highlighting its importance across multiple physiological processes. Owing to its extensive use in published research, Clone 11G5a Antibody has become a valuable reagent for examining membrane protein organization, integrin complexes, epithelial biology, and signaling pathways that depend on stable cell-matrix interactions.

Numerous studies have associated elevated CD151 expression with aggressive behavior in breast, ovarian, prostate, lung, colorectal, pancreatic, and liver cancers, where increased expression frequently correlates with enhanced invasion, migration, metastatic potential, and unfavorable clinical outcomes. Beyond oncology, CD151 has also been investigated in renal disease, fibrosis, vascular biology, inflammatory disorders, and inherited diseases affecting basement membrane function. The extensive publication history of CD151 Antibody 11G5a makes it particularly attractive for researchers seeking a well-documented reagent supported by decades of peer-reviewed literature. As a result, Clone 11G5a Antibody continues to be widely used for studies of cancer biology, cell adhesion, integrin signaling, extracellular matrix interactions, and tissue remodeling.

A CD151 Antibody 11G5a / Clone 11G5a Antibody is commonly used to investigate CD151 expression, localization, and function in normal and diseased tissues. The substantial body of published validation supporting clone 11G5a provides researchers with additional confidence when comparing new findings with previously reported results across diverse experimental models. NSJ Bioreagents provides carefully validated antibodies to support reliable and reproducible detection of CD151 in biomedical research. A CD151 Antibody 11G5a / Clone 11G5a Antibody is a valuable research reagent for investigating cell adhesion, integrin biology, membrane organization, cancer progression, extracellular matrix interactions, and adhesion-dependent cellular signaling.
