CD107a Antibody / Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 1 Antibody recognizes CD107a, the cluster of differentiation designation for Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 1 (LAMP1), a highly glycosylated transmembrane protein that is abundantly expressed on lysosomal membranes. Under resting conditions, CD107a is localized primarily within lysosomes and late endosomes, but during lysosomal exocytosis it is transiently displayed on the cell surface. This dynamic trafficking has made CD107a one of the most widely used markers for monitoring immune cell activation and degranulation. A CD107a Antibody is valuable for investigating both lysosomal biology and cytotoxic immune responses.
Surface expression of Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 1 is routinely measured as an indicator of degranulation by natural killer cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes. During target-cell killing, secretory lysosomes fuse with the plasma membrane to release perforin and granzymes while simultaneously exposing CD107a on the cell surface. Because this response closely reflects cytotoxic activity, CD107a has become a standard functional marker in cancer immunology, infectious disease, vaccine development, transplantation, and cellular immunotherapy. Beyond immune activation, Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 1 also contributes to lysosome stability, intracellular trafficking, and autophagy.
Abnormal CD107a expression or lysosomal trafficking has been linked to immune dysfunction, lysosomal storage disorders, neurodegenerative disease, chronic inflammation, infection, and cancer. CD107a antibodies are widely used for flow cytometry as well as immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, Western blotting, and related protein detection methods when validated for the specific application. NSJ Bioreagents provides carefully validated antibodies to support investigations of immune cell activation, lysosomal trafficking, autophagy, and cancer immunology. A CD107a Antibody / Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 1 Antibody is a valuable research reagent for detecting CD107a and advancing studies of cytotoxic lymphocyte degranulation, lysosomal membrane dynamics, and immune-mediated disease.
Visit our LAMP1 Antibody / Lysosomal Membrane Glycoprotein Antibody page to explore additional validated antibodies and research tools for investigating LAMP1 expression, lysosomal membrane biology, intracellular trafficking, autophagy, and immune cell function.
Optimal dilution of the CD107a Antibody / Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 1 Antibody should be determined by the researcher.
A recombinant partial protein sequence (within amino acids 200-400) from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the CD107a antibody.
Aliquot the CD107a antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
