Cathepsin G Antibody Human Tonsil IHC. Immunohistochemistry analysis of FFPE human tonsil tissue using Cathepsin G Antibody. Heat induced epitope retrieval was performed in pH 8.0 EDTA buffer prior to overnight incubation with primary antibody (2 ug/mL). HRP detection with DAB chromogen was used for visualization. Strong granular cytoplasmic staining is observed in scattered immune cells within the tonsillar lymphoid tissue, consistent with the expected localization of Cathepsin G (CTSG) in neutrophils and other myeloid lineage cells. These results support the use of Cathepsin G Antibody / Neutrophil Serine Protease Antibody for studying Cathepsin G expression, innate immune responses and neutrophil serine protease biology.

Cathepsin G Antibody / Neutrophil Serine Protease Antibody detects Cathepsin G (CTSG), a lysosomal serine protease stored within the azurophilic granules of neutrophils and, to a lesser extent, monocytes. Upon activation of these innate immune cells, Cathepsin G is released into phagolysosomes and the extracellular environment, where it contributes to antimicrobial defense, inflammatory signaling and tissue remodeling. Through its broad proteolytic activity, Cathepsin G participates in pathogen killing, cytokine processing and regulation of immune cell recruitment.
