Beta-Parvin Antibody in Human Stomach IHC. Immunohistochemistry testing of Beta-Parvin Antibody / PARVB Antibody, clone PARVB/8214R, in FFPE human stomach tissue. Heat-induced epitope retrieval was performed by boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9, for 20 min followed by cooling prior to staining. Cytoplasmic immunoreactivity is observed in epithelial cells within the tested tissue.
Beta-Parvin Antibody PARVB/8214R Purity Analysis by SDS-PAGE. Electrophoretic analysis of purified, BSA-free Beta-Parvin Antibody / PARVB Antibody, clone PARVB/8214R, under reducing (R) and non-reducing (NR) conditions with 2 ug of antibody loaded per lane. The reduced sample shows bands at approximately 50 and 25 kDa, corresponding to the antibody heavy and light chains, while the non-reduced sample shows intact antibody at approximately 150 kDa. This analysis confirms the purity and integrity of the Beta-Parvin Antibody preparation.

Description

Beta-Parvin Antibody / PARVB Antibody recognizes beta-parvin, an actin-binding focal adhesion protein encoded by the PARVB gene. Beta-parvin, also known as affixin, belongs to the parvin family of cytoskeletal adaptor proteins and contains tandem calponin homology domains. The protein localizes to focal adhesions and other actin-associated structures, where it participates in signaling between integrin adhesion complexes and the actin cytoskeleton.

Beta-parvin interacts with integrin-linked kinase (ILK), a key component of focal adhesion signaling complexes. Parvin proteins help connect ILK and associated adhesion proteins with pathways controlling actin cytoskeletal dynamics. PARVB also interacts with proteins including alphaPIX and alpha-actinin and participates in activation of the small GTPases CDC42 and RAC1. Through these interactions, beta-parvin contributes to actin cytoskeleton reorganization and formation of lamellipodia.

These molecular functions place PARVB within cellular processes involving adhesion, spreading, polarity and migration. Beta-parvin has also been investigated in cancer biology, where altered expression and its relationship with ILK-dependent signaling have generated interest in its potential role in tumor-associated cellular behavior. More broadly, the parvin family provides an important molecular connection between integrin-mediated adhesion, focal adhesion organization and intracellular cytoskeletal responses.

Clone PARVB/8214R is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody generated against the N-terminal region, amino acids 1-91, of human beta-parvin and purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography. NSJ Bioreagents provides this Beta-Parvin Antibody for research into focal adhesion biology, integrin signaling and actin cytoskeleton organization. A PARVB Antibody can support investigation of beta-parvin and its role in coordinating cell adhesion, spreading and migration.
