Description

Bcl-XL, also called BCL2L1, is a member of the BCL2 protein family and functions as a key regulator of apoptosis. Located primarily in the mitochondrial outer membrane, it prevents programmed cell death by inhibiting pro-apoptotic proteins such as BAX and BAK.
