F-box only protein 32 / Atrogin 1 is a substrate recognition component of a SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F- box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Probably recognizes and binds to phosphorylated target proteins during skeletal muscle atrophy. Recognizes TERF1.
Titration of the Atrogin 1 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 17-49 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the Atrogin 1 antibody.
Aliquot the Atrogin 1 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
