ATR Antibody / ANTXR1 Antibody recognizes Anthrax Toxin Receptor 1 (ANTXR1), also known as Tumor Endothelial Marker 8 (TEM8), a type I transmembrane receptor that interacts with extracellular matrix proteins and functions in vascular biology, tissue remodeling and cell adhesion. ANTXR1 is widely expressed in endothelial cells, fibroblasts and several other cell types, where it helps regulate communication between cells and their surrounding microenvironment. In addition to its physiological functions, ANTXR1 serves as the cellular receptor for anthrax protective antigen, making it an important target in both infectious disease and cancer research. NSJ Bioreagents offers ATR antibodies for investigating receptor biology, angiogenesis and extracellular matrix regulation.
ANTXR1 has attracted significant attention because of its elevated expression in tumor-associated vasculature and numerous solid tumors. The receptor contributes to extracellular matrix remodeling, endothelial cell migration and angiogenic processes that support tumor growth. These findings have led to increasing interest in ANTXR1 as a potential therapeutic target for antibody-based therapies and anti-angiogenic approaches. Beyond oncology, ATR participates in normal tissue development, wound repair and maintenance of connective tissue architecture, highlighting its broad biological importance.
Researchers frequently examine ANTXR1 expression to investigate receptor localization, extracellular matrix interactions and signaling pathways involved in vascular remodeling. Studies also explore how altered receptor expression influences tumor progression, fibrosis and tissue homeostasis. Detection of ANTXR1 can provide valuable insight into endothelial biology, extracellular matrix organization and mechanisms underlying both physiological development and pathological disease processes.
An ATR Antibody is a valuable reagent for detecting ANTXR1 by Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry and related immunoassays. An ANTXR1 Antibody supports studies of receptor expression, extracellular matrix biology, angiogenesis and tumor-associated vascular function.
