CD34 is a possible adhesion molecule with a role in early hematopoiesis by mediating the attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or directly to stromal cells. Could act as a scaffold for the attachment of lineage specific glycans, allowing stem cells to bind to lectins expressed by stromal cells or other marrow components. Presents carbohydrate ligands to selectins.
Titration of the anti-CD34 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
This anti-CD34 antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 356-390 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CD34.
Aliquot the anti-CD34 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
