Annexin A1 Antibody / Lipocortin I Antibody recognizes Annexin A1, a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein encoded by the ANXA1 gene. Annexin A1 belongs to the annexin family of proteins and is involved in membrane-associated processes, inflammatory regulation, cellular signaling and responses to tissue injury. Historically known as lipocortin I, ANXA1 has been extensively investigated for its relationship with glucocorticoid-mediated anti-inflammatory responses and the regulation of innate immune cell activity.
Annexin A1 is expressed in numerous tissues and is particularly relevant to immune and inflammatory biology. The protein can influence leukocyte trafficking, neutrophil activity, macrophage function and mechanisms involved in the resolution of inflammation. ANXA1 can also interact with membrane phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner, and its biological activity is influenced by cellular localization, phosphorylation and proteolytic processing. These properties connect Annexin A1 with both intracellular signaling and extracellular mechanisms that regulate inflammatory responses.
ANXA1 is also studied extensively in cancer biology. Changes in Annexin A1 expression and localization have been reported in multiple tumor types, although the direction and biological significance of these changes can vary according to tissue and disease context. ANXA1 has been investigated in relation to tumor cell proliferation, migration, invasion, differentiation and interactions with the tumor microenvironment. An Annexin A1 Antibody can therefore support studies examining the intersection between inflammatory signaling, epithelial biology and cancer-associated changes in ANXA1 expression.
Clone ANXA1/3566 has been evaluated using a human protein microarray to assess antibody specificity across a large collection of recombinant proteins. Protein Microarray Validated antibodies provide an additional approach for evaluating target recognition beyond tissue- and cell-based testing. In HuProt protein microarray analysis, the Z-score reflects the strength of antibody binding relative to background signals across the array, while the S-score reflects the relative specificity of target recognition compared with other proteins represented on the array. These data provide supporting evidence for the specificity profile of clone ANXA1/3566.
NSJ Bioreagents offers mouse monoclonal Annexin A1 Antibody clone ANXA1/3566 for investigating ANXA1 expression and function. A Lipocortin I Antibody can support research into inflammatory regulation, innate immune signaling, membrane-associated processes, cellular stress and cancer biology.
Researchers investigating Annexin A1 in inflammatory and immune regulation can explore our Immunology Antibodies page for additional reagents targeting mediators of innate and adaptive immune signaling.
Optimal dilution of the Annexin A1 Antibody / Lipocortin I Antibody should be determined by the researcher.
Recombinant full-length human Annexin A1 protein was used as the immunogen for the Annexin A1 antibody.
Store the Annexin A1 antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
