Angiogenin (ANG) also known as Ribonuclease 5 is a small 123 amino acid protein that in humans is encoded by the ANG gene. Predicted to enable several functions, including actin binding activity; heparin binding activity; and protein homodimerization activity. Involved in liver development. Predicted to be located in several cellular components, including growth cone; neuronal cell body; and nucleolus. Predicted to be part of angiogenin-PRI complex. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in diabetic retinopathy; myocardial infarction; neurodegenerative disease (multiple); and prostate cancer. Orthologous to human ANG (angiogenin).
Optimal dilution of the Ang antibody should be determined by the researcher.
E. coli-derived recombinant rat protein (amino acids Q25-L145) was used as the immunogen for the Ang antibody.
After reconstitution, the Ang antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
