Description

Protein AMBP is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AMBP gene. This gene encodes a fusion protein that undergoes proteolytic processing to generate two mature proteins: alpha-1-microglobulin (A1m) is a heme-binding plasma glycoprotein of the lipocalin superfamily of proteins that bind to hydrophobic molecules, whereas bikunin belongs to the superfamily of Kunitz-type protease inhibitors. The transgenic mice specifically lacking bikunin, but not A1m, exhibit female infertility and an increased sensitivity to lung metastasis.

Application Notes

Optimal dilution of the Ambp antibody should be determined by the researcher.

Immunogen

An E.coli-derived mouse recombinant protein (A205-S349) was used as the immunogen for the Ambp antibody.

Storage

After reconstitution, the Ambp antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
