Aryl hydrocarbon receptor is a member of the family of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors. It is a cytosolic transcription factor that is normally inactive, bound to several co-chaperones. Estrogenic actions of AHR agonists were detected in wildtype ovariectomized mouse uteri, but were absent in Ahr -/- or Er-alpha -/- ovariectomized mice. Complex assembly and ubiquitin ligase activity of CUL4B/AHR in vitro and in vivo are dependent on the AHR ligand. In the CUL4B/AHR complex, ligand-activated AHR acts as a substrate-specific adaptor component that targets sex steroid receptors for degradation.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the AHR antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of mouse Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor (EAALKHEQIGHAQDV) was used as the immunogen for this AHR antibody.
After reconstitution, the AHR antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
