ACSF3 catalyzes the initial reaction in intramitochondrial fatty acid synthesis, by activating malonate and methylmalonate, but not acetate, into their respective CoA thioester. May have some preference toward very-long-chain substrates [UniProt]
Titration of the ACSF3 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 413-442 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for this ACSF3 antibody.
Aliquot the ACSF3 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
