T-cell lymphoma invasion and metastasis-inducing protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TIAM1 gene. This gene is mapped to 21q22.11. TIAM1 modulates the activity of Rho GTP-binding proteins and connects extracellular signals to cytoskeletal activities. In addition, TIAM1 activates Rac1, CDC42, and to a lesser extent RhoA.
Differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity may require the TIAM1 antibody to be titrated for optimal performance.
Amino acids 1518-1554 (ASVDRDLQERLQATSISQRERGRKTLDSHASRMAQLK) from the human protein were used as the immunogen for the TIAM1 antibody.
After reconstitution, the TIAM1 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
