Taste receptor type 2 member 50 is a receptor that may play a role in the perception of bitterness and is gustducin-linked. May play a role in sensing the chemical composition of the gastrointestinal content. The activity of this receptor may stimulate alpha gustducin, mediate PLC-beta-2 activation and lead to the gating of TRPM5 (By similarity).
Titration of the TAS2R50 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
A portion of amino acids 198-222 from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the TAS2R50 antibody.
Aliquot the TAS2R50 antibody and store frozen at -20oC or colder. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
