Regulator of G-protein signaling 9 is a protein involved in regulation of signal transduction inside cells. The RGS9 gene encodes a member of the RGS family of GTPase activating proteins that function in various signaling pathways by accelerating the deactivation of G proteins. This protein is anchored to photoreceptor membranes in retinal cells and deactivates G proteins in the rod and cone phototransduction cascades. Mutations in this gene result in bradyopsia. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the RGS9 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.
An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human Regulator of G-protein signaling 9 (LKSKRVANFFQIKMD) was used as the immunogen for this RGS9 antibody.
After reconstitution, the RGS9 antibody can be stored for up to one month at 4oC. For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
